Preparation time: 10 min.
Cooking or baking time: 15 min.
Total preparation time: 25 min.

The kale with mettwurst is based on a simple recipe that you can easily boil with a pressure cooker. Maybe it will taste good.

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients for about 4 people

  • 500 g of kale (eg a 800 g can with 530 g drained weight), or frozen kale
  • 400 g potatoes, diced ("predominantly solid")
  • 4-6 Mettwursts à 80 g (for example, Mettenden)
  • 400 ml broth / vegetable stock
  • 200 ml of water
  • 1 g pepper (= about 1/2 teaspoon)
  • 5-8 g of salt (= about 2 teaspoons), depending on your taste

Total cost: about 6.00?. The amount is enough for about 4 people (depends on the appetite).

preparation

  1. To prepare, the potatoes are peeled and diced. Then you have to drain the kale. For frozen kale (frozen food), the kale must be thawed before cooking. Finally, the Mettenden be cut into finger-width pieces.
  2. Now all ingredients are added together with the spices in the pressure cooker and stirred well. Then set the cooker to full and boil it all up. Then stir again and close the pressure cooker with the lid. Turn the control valve on the lid to level 2.
  3. Continue to cook at full speed until you see the green ring (model Fissler). Then turn the stove back to level 1 of 3 and cook with the pressure cooker at level 2 (level 2 control valve) for about 10 minutes. Then remove the pressure cooker from the hot plate and let it cool slowly on a cold stove.
  4. After about 10 minutes let the residual steam escape (evaporate), and carefully open the lid.
  5. Now the food can be served, it's done.

By cooking in the pressure cooker, the potatoes are nice and soft, but still have some "bite". The Mettenden are nice soft and juicy, but not "overcooked" and not "leached". A great way to prepare a delicious and healthy meal quickly and easily.

info

To cook this recipe, I used the Fissler vitavit comfort pressure cooker with 4.5 liters content. It's my first pressure cooker, and I'm amazed how easy it is to make delicious food.

For this pot, there is still a steam cooking insert, which is separately in the top of the pot z. B. Vegetables can cook while simmering in the bottom of the pot and cook.

The pressure cooker has become a very useful helper in my kitchen, because as a single I can also prepare small, delicious meals in the evening without having to cook for 1 or 2 hours. Because I have to get out in the morning at 5 o'clock, and have not spent so much time in the kitchen in the evening. The recipe given here results in a lot for me, which I can also keep in the fridge for up to 2 days and thus can cook my food for 3 days completely finished in a few minutes. A real time saver to earlier, where I had to cook everything separately every day.

For larger quantities, I seriously consider buying a larger pressure cooker from Fissler (with the coupons) as I sometimes cook for my divorced wife and her family. But then I need because of the size (6 people) a pot of at least 6-8 liters in size.
