Rhubarb ice tea

In the great weather outside, drinking a lot is really important. But also the right thing, plays a big role, e.g. the very tasty rhubarb ice tea!

I actually like water, but at the idea of drinking only water every day, no, I need a bit of variety there. I came across a recipe for a delicious iced tea: rhubarb iced tea.

You need:

1kg rhubarb
40 g of ginger
3 bags of hibiscus tea
Sugar according to taste (I only needed 50 g)
1 to 1.5 L of water

Preparation:

Peel the rhubarb, remove the hard threads with a knife and cut into small pieces. Peel and slice the ginger as well. Put the whole in a pot and boil with the sugar.

Once the whole cooks, it will disintegrate into mush, bring the temperature down and pour in the three teabags and let them steep for 10 minutes.

Then you can immediately give the whole thing through a fine sieve and fill in jugs or let it cool in the pot. I then put the jugs in a cold water bath so that they cool down faster - shock freezing with ice cubes works but probably also - I had only none and had to help me so differently.

Then put in the fridge and drink a glass full of ice cubes and pour the tea.

Very yummy, slightly sour through the ginger and the rhubarb but just refreshing and thirst quenching. And I just stand on this brilliant, bright red color.
