Sleep disorders due to alcohol - especially in old age

A glass of wine or beer in the evening, a treat for many people. For older people but only for the time on the sofa. There are often problems in bed. Because alcohol and good sleep - that is often impossible.

Me and my mother have experienced that for themselves and now we live very well without alcohol. Why is alcohol so dangerous in old age?

  • The whole organism is old, including the liver. It can degrade pollutants worse. The detox takes much longer, it comes to sleep in the stress.
  • The deep sleep phase is disturbed by alcohol. Especially this sleep time is so important, so that the sleep is really good and deep.
  • In addition: By regular consumption of alcohol you become old faster. Because the body cells absorb less oxygen in total, than at a young age, it comes to the detoxification to damage, including in the brain. The elderly person experiences a faster aging process - mentally and physically.

My advice

From today only delicious juice spritzer, wonderful fruit tea, tingling mineral water! All a matter of getting used to, honestly. The reward is wonderful deep sleep and good health in old age.
