Small and light burns

Avoid blistering with small (!) And light (!) Burns and relieve pain.

So at the beginning it should be pointed out once again that this tip is only suitable for small, ie about fingernail-sized burns, never for open and / or larger burns or scalds.

It happens to me, by my own carelessness again and again, that I burn my fingers on hot pans, pots or on the baking sheet or the grill. It even happened to me in the office. The tip to run cold water over the burned area is very good and is recommended by all doctors. Flour or butter are ineffective to harmful. However, you can not stand forever at the tap.

The body then helps itself by producing a blast of water filled with water. Although this is important, but annoying after some time and some even sting them and risk bringing germs into the wound.

The following tip has often helped me a lot: dip your finger with the burnt place in a coffee mug or, if necessary, a bowl of cool water and let it in (!). For at least a quarter of an hour or just as long as the feeling of pain "outside" is still there. The body then has enough "drainage material" to cool the fire. It really does not form a blister, only the skin itself is rough and seems like cornea, but also that disappears.

You can also pack ice on it, but this has other disadvantages (not always at hand, risk of frostbite, difficult to use for children) and this tip helps in my experience, much better than ice. And relieves the pain just as well, if not better.
