  • 8 English breakfast sausages (raw bratwurst do it too, but rather 6 pieces)
  • 225 g of flour
  • 4 medium sized eggs
  • 250 ml of milk

First the oven is preheated to 200 ° C. Brush a not too high mold with oil. Distribute the sausages side-by-side in the pan and bake in the oven for 10 minutes to brown the sausages. That may well be smoking, because we want to have the shape as hot as possible.

In the meantime, slowly whisk the flour, eggs and half of the milk into a viscous mass. Slowly add (!) The remaining milk with a whisk. Always stir well! Salting and peppering.

Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the sausages with the dough until they are 3/4 covered and put them back in the oven for another 35 minutes. The dough should be nice and fluffy.

To fit salad, mashed potatoes, vegetables, etc. Very important is a strong brown gravy.
