Use plastic canisters as a basket
From 5 liter cans, e.g. This with distilled water, you can also make very practical little cups: Lay on the back (the canister!), with a felt-tip pen in the above middle and a piece of down side draw a handle, ca, 3-4 cm wide. Then mark on both sides at the desired height round the basket. Include the original handle as far as possible and cut off the outlet.
Once you have an incision, this is easily done with a kitchen knife; otherwise: who has a carpet knife, can take that. But beware: it slides through like butter. If you let go of the old handle, you can store the basket pretty high on the shelf and bring down (I am even 1.62 cm "tall").
I used to get 10-liter canisters; that was even more practical, because there you could very nicely collect everything in it. But even the little ones are practical.
