Very ripe bananas for dog biscuits
How often does it happen that you have 1-2 bananas that you do not eat anymore because they are already very spotty and brown.
If you are a dog owner, you can conjure up a few very tasty dog biscuits with just a few simple steps and ingredients. Balu and his dog friends love these biscuits.
ingredients
- 2 very ripe bananas (ripe bananas contain less potassium and are more digestible)
- 270 g of flour (preferably spelled flour)
- 2 medium eggs
- 3 tablespoons of oil (I like walnut oil)
- 100 ml of warm water
preparation
- Make the bananas nice and small with the fork.
- Knead all ingredients with the kneading hooks of the mixer for approx. 3 minutes until a firm dough is formed. It should not stick (add a little flour) or crumble (add some liquid).
- Knead the dough by hand again and roll it out on baking paper (about 1 cm thick - it is also thinner, then requires less baking time - biscuits break but then rather apart, if you, for example, in the jacket pocket.
- Now you can let the imagination run wild. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Or make small, flat talers. I roll out the dough, cut the dough into even-sized squares with a pizza cutter. Then it goes into the oven. Best to bake at 160 ° (top and bottom heat) for about 45 minutes (with 1 cm thick dough), switch off the oven and let stand for another 30 minutes. The biscuits are crispy and a bit soft in the middle. (If you want to have them completely dry, then leave them at 50 ° in the oven for 30 minutes - try a little, as you would like to have them). Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking paper.
- Since the biscuits are slightly damp, do not store in a plastic bowl, they will easily mold. I put them in a cookie jar without a lid. They then continue to dry without mold. From the first to the last biscuit for the Wuffis a treat. But as with all treats please pay attention, then remove the amount from the main food - enjoyment with moderation.
On my own: This is my first recipe description. So have a bit of mercy on me, and I would be very happy about tips. :)
