Washable cotton bandages

Since tampons dry out the vagina they are not suitable for all women. Also, I had to use the traditional disposable bandages that I hated for a long time. For me, cotton bandages are a good solution.

They come in different sizes, strengths and colors, e.g. from Lunapads, Kulmine and - my personal favorite - Momiji natural.

They are really very absorbent, do not rustle and feel like normal underwear. Because they are breathable, there is no increased sweating and no odor (at least no more than worn underwear generally smells).

The cotton bandages are placed in the panty and fastened to the underside of the panty with two wings, one on the left and one on the right, with press studs. (On the internet there are enough pictures, if that was not explained comprehensible).

Of course you have to change them as often as disposable bindings. For on the way you take a waterproof toilet bag or a "wet bag", which is more of discretion: I have never "leaked" in the bag. Namely, the bandages fold with the moist side inside and close with the snaps, then nothing goes out. (Unless you throw some heavy books in your pocket and squeezes them out).

After use, the bandages are either washed completely by hand or rinsed briefly under running water or placed in a sink full of water and then go into the washing machine.

If someone here simply puts wet laundry in the laundry basket and lets it gag for days until the next wash: Please do not do with the pads;). I hang my after rinsing over the laundry basket so that they can dry until I have a WaMa full (since I have already washed the towels anyway, I wash them with the normal laundry)

I realize that some will find it disgusting, but I can handle that :).

I found the idea to wash and reuse the bandages at first disgusting, but then I thought that I would not throw away my underwear even if I was surprised by my days, or all kinds of nosebleeds or my fingers cut and on the tea towel drip ... It's just blood and that is in principle something normal.

Incidentally, before today's hygiene products were on the market, there were only washable pads.

Maybe it helps someone :)
