Watermelon red currant jelly

An extraordinary combination: watermelon currant jelly with Milka Luflee? Chocolate.

ingredients

  • a 3 kg heavy watermelon low in kernels
  • 500 g redcurrants
  • for each 750 ml of juice, 1/2 plate Milka Luflee
  • 3 x 500 g jam sugar 2: 1

preparation

  1. Peel the watermelon and cut into small cubes.
  2. Wash the currants and sort out any bad berries.
  3. Put everything in a sufficiently large saucepan (without adding water) and bring to a low boil (1) slowly to boil, so that the juice boils out, stirring occasionally.
  4. When the melon is soft, after about 40 minutes mash the fruit with a potato masher and pour in a sieve hanging over a large bowl or a sufficiently high pot, stir briefly to drain all the juice. (Best covered over night) leave.

The next day from the collected juice, together with the chocolate, cook the jelly according to the package instructions. I have extracted from my melon and the currants 2 liters of juice and received 10 small jars of jelly.

I only have small glasses - single household.
