Always keep the kettle lime-free

In Berlin we have extremely calcareous tap water - you may also know the problem. Accordingly, after a short time the kettle looks. However, I often put the decalcifying before me, because it is annoying, poisonous (depending on the means), stinky.

In Berlin we have extremely calcareous tap water - you may also know the problem. Accordingly, after a short time the kettle looks. However, I often put the decalcifying before me, because it is annoying, poisonous (depending on the means), stinky.

Now I have found the following solution

I do not wait until a proper layer of limescale has formed, but after every 3rd - 4th use, drip a small (!) Splash of lemon juice (the one from the small plastic citrons) into the still hot cooker. It gushes briefly, the thin lime film dissolves immediately. Rinse once with water - done. Does not stink, is not poisonous and the kettle is always lime-free and tip-top.
