Caliper made of Lego

Whenever you need it, the circle has disappeared without a trace. Dish is too big as a circle, saucer and cup too small. So I built a circle of Lego with my child and it's even adjustable. Just building was a lot of fun.

My son was immediately on fire. To build a circle of Lego and help Mama out of trouble was a great motivation. To build it, however, some problems came up.

In order for the circle to be stably pulled, two things are important. The compass must be stable on one side and turnable. So a stable pillar is built. This replaces the part of the circle with the needle point. The part is rotatable by the installation of a rotatable round connector (red) in the middle. Then Lego technology comes into play. Put in a couple of black connectors, mount a second Lego engineering part and fix a pencil with a rubber band. And already a circle can be drawn. To change the diameter, only the Lego technology connections need to move one hole further. The Lego compass can also be built with completely different stones. The main thing is there is a part that is rotatable and built as stable as possible. The imagination knows no bounds.
