Chili with coffee and chocolate

A very spicy and sometimes from the ingredients different chili, you will be amazed.

Chili with coffee and chocolate - 4 servings

Approximately 700 g of beef (it is usually still something zababelt)
1 onion or 2 onions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
200 ml of coffee
1 kl. Tin of tomato paste
200 ml beef broth (from instant powder)
2-3 teaspoons brown sugar
Chili pepper fresh or chilli powder, more or less depending on taste
1 tsp gem. Cumin? careful, is not everyone's taste
1 tsp baking cocoa or approx. 50 g dark chocolate
each 1/2 tsp. drink. Oregano and mixed coriander
Pinch of cinnamon
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper


1 can of kidney beans

Cut meat into small cubes and marinate at least a few hours in olive oil, juice of a lemon? better overnight.

Preparation:
Dab off meat and fry in hot oil in portions, set meat aside. Put the onions, garlic and tomato paste in the pan and roast, add the brown sugar, then add the meat, salt and pepper.


Then top up with coffee and beef broth and add the remaining spices. Simmer well for 2 hours at a low level. Possibly. take a look and pour some broth.

Cook rice according to the 2: 1 method: = 2 gr. Boil cups of salted water, add 1 gr. Cup of rice, cook on a small scale with the lid closed.

Drain the kidney beans, add some of the broth and allow to simmer for another 20 minutes. time to taste? maybe some salt? - and then add the rice.

Tip: You can very well add 1 can of shredded tomatoes and / or peppers.
