Clean grave stone - how it works | TheFruitAndFlowerBasket TV

Tombstones must withstand wind and weather over time. Moss and dirt settle on it and close to the stone.

To clean you need:

  • brush
  • Tiles sponge
  • soft soap
  • scrubbing brush
  • Bucket of water
  • Soft cloth

Most of the grave slabs are made of granite, but marble is also popular. When choosing the right cleaning agent, keep in mind that marble should never be treated with vinegar cleaner. With soft soap you are definitely on the safe side and you do not burden the environment unnecessarily.

Light soiling on polished surfaces is best treated only with water and a soft brush or tiler sponge.

Some stubborn residues can be removed with soft soap:

  1. Apply two caps of soft soap to 10 liters of water.
  2. Apply the solution to the stone with a brush and scrub thoroughly for a few minutes.
  3. When writing, you must be careful that the black or golden color is not plastered away.
  4. Allow the product to act for a total of half an hour. Then rinse everything with clear water.

Very important: The font must be dried again, otherwise limescale can form. To keep the tomb permanently in a well-maintained condition, clean the grave plate about once a year if necessary.
