Clean windows with two buckets

I always use two buckets and 5 tablespoons of potato starch to clean the windows.

I'm honestly surprised at the many tips here that no one has posted to clean from two buckets. But first, I have to send word that I lived in London for a few years, and the English are not so fussy about cleaning the windows.

Maybe my methods do not meet the German standards ... (For example, in the old Sash Windows in London you have to decide between tight or well ventilated. "Dense" you can not open then and only clean from the outside, because when painting complete opening mechanism sealed ... "well ventilated" is open, but in winter quite fresh!

So the tip: I basically clean from 2 buckets.

  • Bucket 1: 5 liters of warm water, 1 dash of Spüli (last so it does not foam) 1 coarse cloth or sponge
  • Bucket 2: 5 liters of warm water, 5 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 smooth microfiber cloth (without loops)

I soap the windows properly from bucket 1 and wipe the frames dry. Then I wring the microfiber cloth from bucket 2 very dolle and rub the discs off. What does the potato flour for an effect, no idea, I have the feeling that the discs are immediately dry. The water from bucket 2 always stays clean and that's how the windows look.

Sure you get the other way too. It suits me that way. The 2 bucket tip is from a window cleaner who told me once, he sees no sense in wiping glass with clean water clean ... so I thought there was something in it.
