This tip is u.a. how to help shady feet of a clematis plant.
Now many Clematis plants are offered. Since they have long roots, one must dig a planting hole, plant it and press it, so that it has contact with the surrounding soil.

Clematis love shady feet. That's why I take the long flower pot and slit it all the way to the ground with the pruning shears and then separate it from the ground in a circular shape. I put the funnel with the edge down around the plant and the rods like a cuff. I press this into the accumulated soil and at the same time have a sprue.
In winter, I fill in some mulch. When the plant has become air-conditioned, it can be easily fertilized.
