Create space and do good
As our old PC had given up its ghost, we had 2 large screens, a black and white printer, a color printer, a scanner, and a Lexmark printer.
The devices only took up space, but still worked. For the new folding computer we had already bought a small printer and an all-round printer with scanner. So where with the good but outdated equipment?
Here, the Poles often drive by and collect everything on electrical appliances, which is on the roadside. But, there must still be someone here who can use the stuff, especially since I also had cables that connect the devices with USB plugs.
So in the senior club at the computer department called, no thanks. Called in a reason school, no, they have everything up to date.
Well, congratulations. I almost wanted to give up when I saw the telephone number of a social worker at a school in a not so upscale area.
I called her and she had an idea right away. There are some socially weak families at the school, where the children would certainly be happy to get older technology as well.
She made the connection to a 16 year old student. He came with his father over, saw the equipment and asked timidly, if he may have all. We brought everything home.
We have room again and the student has old but working technology. He was very happy and the connection to him persists.
