GDR poppy cake

I always had to bake this poppy cake for my family in GDR times, when there were not many things and baking ingredients. We still find the poppy seed cake very delicious today, but beware, there is a lot of hip gold in it.
ingredients
For the poppy seed cake
- 200 g butter
- 150 g of sugar
- 300 g of ground poppy
- 8 tablespoons milk
- 8 tablespoons of flour
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 baking powder
- 1 vanilla sugar
preparation
- Mix the ingredients to a dough, fold in the egg white of the 6 eggs, place on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes over medium heat.
- Immediately after baking, pour the still hot cake with 2 medium cups of coffee, allow to cool and finally cover the glaze.
glaze
- 2 eggs
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa
- 4 tablespoons of milk
- 250 g hard fat (coconut fat or other)
You can also apply a pudding cream on the finished cake, let it cool and then the glaze.
