- Any number of slices of toast are rolled flat with a rolling pin or a bottle, each with a slice Scheibletten cheese to taste (Emmentaler, Chester, etc.) occupied (ideal are the packaged individual toast-melted slices of discounter) and firmly rolled up.
- In a non-stick pan, butter is heated to medium and fried with the toast rolls with the seam side down, so that the seam closes. Then turn until everything is golden brown. The cheese is now also melted inside.
- Serve with a tomato soup (cup soup) or bouillon as a dip for the toast rolls.
