Decorate with napkin technique

With the simple napkin technique, you can decorate almost anything, e.g. empty mustard or cucumber glasses (as lanterns), cardboard boxes, notebooks, bottles, small and large wooden boxes or even furniture such as cupboards or side tables.

You need colorful napkins with ornaments or motives or colorful patterned tissue paper, also a clear lacquer for napkin technique. You get everything in craft shops or departments, the napkins sometimes even individually.

Simply cut out motifs from the napkins, or place appropriate surfaces on the surface to be covered and paint with clear varnish, even over the edges. The special clearcoat also sticks at the same time. Allow to dry well and - if necessary for better protection - cover with a layer of normal clearcoat.

Incidentally, cups or dishes are not suitable for this technique, since they have to be washed.

Even with deco candles you should do without the napkin technique, because the napkins are scorched.
