Tips for easier falling asleep

  1. Write down everything that goes around in your head. Whether it's a lot of tasks that wait the next day, or a row with your friend / family, or - now at Christmas time - what else you need to get and prepare for; if the next day there are tests, what can go wrong, etc. I scribble it on a paper, just as it comes to mind, in shorthand, sometimes in abbreviations. The main thing is, it comes from the head on paper, no one has to be able to read except me. After that I usually feel better. The paper is folded and placed on the bedside table.
  2. Read a few pages to get another idea. I like reading thrillers, but of course that's a matter of taste. The main thing is that it makes you get away from your own situation. I read until my eyes get tired and burn, before it makes no sense to go to sleep. Do not look up and think, but now I have to sleep, otherwise I'll be tired tomorrow. You can not force anything anyway and prefer to sleep soundly for 4 hours than to roll uneasily for 8 hours!
  3. Close the tired eyes, cuddle up and feel in a nice waking dream. My favorite is a sea beach. I stand on the shore and the waves come towards me, I imagine gentle warm wind and the sound of the sea ... and I am gone. Of course you can also count sheep or pick flowers, everything that gives you a harmonious, happy feeling! Even erotic thoughts can help.
