Head lice: remove nits

I'm writing a tip on FM for the first time. And indeed, my little daughter, brought me some nice animals home! "Head Lice" brrrrr, it just itches when writing this word.

My first course was of course from the pharmacy. There I bought two packs of "Nyda" (one in reserve).

Smells well of lemon, is easy to spray and can stay well overnight. After washing out and blow-drying, unfortunately still some empty Nissenhüllen stay behind. These should be removed according to the leaflet with your fingers. However, my daughter has hair down to the middle of her back, and that's a lot of work to pull those stupid Nissen out.

So, now for the actual tip:

Since I'm a modern-day mother, I also own a flat iron. I smoothed my daughter's hair strand by strand and lo and behold there were no empty nits to be seen.

Of course, one or the other will say, "Oh, that's not good for the child's hair!" But I tell you, there will be less tears.
