Lantern made by yourself

Even kindergarten children can do it under the guidance and it is extremely cost effective!

Material:

Taped paste mixed, a balloon, newspaper, ink fountain, possibly construction paper, Käseringpappe, thin wire.

Mix wallpaper paste

Inflate balloon (best are the normal, thick-bellied)

Tear newspaper into small pieces

Cover the air balloon with the shredded pieces of newspaper moistened with wallpaper paste, several layers. (Sometimes there has to be a day in between to get a thick layer)

Let the balloon dry

Next day, at the top of the "Nupsel" of the balloon, cut in a hole, so big that the cheese ring (lid of the cheese spreads), fits in and can be glued. Balloon is now small and can be taken out.

Paint the balloon and, if necessary, cover it with construction paper (eg feet on the bottom if painted as an animal)

Glue in cheese ring, let it dry, attach the wire so that the lantern turret can be hung

Glue the tealight down.

It's fun, the kids are busy, you do something with the kids and you have the benefit of it. And sometimes you are also an eye-catcher when lantern running.
