Make pumpkin out of balloon and papier-mâché
Halloween is coming soon. So that the children know where the ringing pays off and they get sweets, we put a pumpkin on the door. With a simple trick, this year we made the pumpkin out of a balloon and papier-mâché itself.
Especially for the pumpkin are already inflated balloons, which have been in the house for a few days and have already lost some air. If no one is there, inflate the balloon as big as possible, tie it with a string and leave it for a while. Then open the cord again, let the air out and inflate and knot again according to the desired size of the pumpkin.
Then package tape or wool is wrapped so tightly around the balloon that creates the typical pumpkin shape. Glue in the balloon and cover with two layers of transparent paper. Use a piece of wrapping paper or a piece of paper from a brewed bag to form the stick and glue it on. Let the pumpkin dry for at least one day and then paint orange. Tracing the notches in a slightly lighter orange and the whole looks like a real pumpkin.
