Meissener Quarktorte

A recipe of my grandmother, prepared relatively quickly and easily:

ingredients

  • 50g margarine or butter
  • 400g sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 Pckch vanilla sugar (of course, it gets better with real vanilla!)
  • 1kg cottage cheese 20%
  • 100g semolina
  • 1 Pckch of baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 pinch of salt

preparation

Stir frothy margarine / butter with egg yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon juice. Lift the quark, semolina, baking powder and the sifted flour underneath. Carefully fold in lightly salted egg whites and bake in prepared spring pan for 60 min at 180 degrees.
You can but do not have to give a chocolate glaze over the baked cake.
I myself prefer to dust them with powdered sugar. That's cute enough!

Another tip: bake the cake for 15 minutes in a preheated oven, then take out for 15 minutes, then bake for another 45 minutes. This prevents (usually) that the top of the cake bursts.
