New York Cheesecake - Muesli and chocolate

There are more and more cereals in the shops. Since it happens sometimes that you buy a few packs too much and then nicely hidden in the closet grow old. It's the same with me personally with chocolate. However, only milk or dark chocolate is suitable for this recipe. These two ingredients are perfect for a New York or American cheesecake.

For the ground


  • 200 - 300 g muesli remainders
  • 70 - 80 g of butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

For the cheese filling

  • 300 - 350 g cream cheese (full fat)
  • 100 - 120 g of sugar
  • 2 pck vanilla sugar
  • 2-3 eggs
  • 30 - 40 g of flour
  • 60 ml of milk

For the chocolate sauce

  • 50 g whole milk chocolate
  • 50 g dark chocolate
  • Milk or cream at will
  • + a round cake tin - 26 - 28 cm diameter

preparation

  1. For the muesliboden, crumble the cereal (if it should be lumpy - I always use the mortar) and add cinnamon. Then melt the butter and pour into the cereal and stir.
  2. Grease cake mold, add muesli mixture and spread with a rammer to all corners and press firmly.
  3. Now we come to the filling. Mix all the ingredients for the cheese filling in a food processor or by hand (mix into a smooth dough) and then pour gently over the cereal bottom in the mold. Do not worry if the filling is too watery. He always gets stuck in the oven. When everything is in the cake pan, the cheesecake comes into the preheated oven for 40 - 60 minutes (until it turns slightly golden brown from above). Allow to cool for 1 hour after baking.
  4. After waiting for 1 hour, the chocolate is melted over a water bath. When completely melted, cream or milk is stirred until the mixture has a sauce consistency. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cake, spread well and put in the fridge again for 30 minutes to 1 hour and done :)

tip

If you do not buy muesli, you can also use the same amount of old biscuits for the cake bottom. If you only have butter cookies, add 20 - 30 g of sugar to the bottom dough so that it tastes sweet too.

In the cheese filling you can also add 2 - 3 teaspoons curd for a better taste.
