Orange - ginger jam

This is my first tip! Last week I cooked this jam and I succeeded quite well. We have already emptied the first glass.

Orange - ginger jam

ingredients

  • 1 kg of oranges gives about 750 g
  • grated peel of an orange
  • 1 lime
  • 40 g ginger root, gives about 25 g
  • 750 ml of orange juice
  • 1 kg gelling sugar

preparation

  1. Peel the oranges with the knife and cut into pieces. Make sure that all whiteness is removed.
  2. To rub an orange peel. Add the juice of a lime and finely grated ginger.
  3. Now puree everything with the blender.
  4. Add the orange juice and heat everything. When it boils, add the jelly sugar and cook according to instructions.
  5. For me it took about 6 minutes. Make gelling and fill the jam in glasses and enjoy.
  6. The jam has become wonderfully fruity with a fine ginger aroma.
  7. Fits in my opinion perfect in the winter, because ginger warms yes.
