Potato pancakes with apple compote. A very tasty and above all inexpensive dish.
Tip in advance:
To prevent the pancakes from sticking, you should let the fat (sunflower oil) in the pan get very hot and then add the pastry cakes.
ingredients
For 4 people
- 1 to 1.5 kg of potatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1 egg, salt, pepper and a pinch of nutmeg
- 1 tbsp flour to bind the potato mass (for better firmness, you can also add one tbsp oatmeal)
preparation
- Peel the potatoes and the onion and then rub them on a classic grater or process them into a pulp in a blender.
- Add 1 egg and 1 tbsp flour, season the mixture well with salt and pepper. Possibly add 1 tbsp of oatmeal.
- Heat the sunflower oil well and fry 1 to 2 teaspoons of the potato mixture until crispy on each side.
Apple compote
1 kg of apples, peel, quarter with 1 to 2 cups of water and 1 cinnamon stick for about a quarter of an hour until soft.
Add sugar or sweet sweetener and add up to half a cup of sweet cream to refine.
