pumpkin jam

Total preparation time: 30 min.

Sounds funny at first glance, but I know, the pumpkin jam is delicious!

ingredients

  • 1 kg pumpkin meat (nutmeg squash, butternut squash, etc.)
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon clove powder
  • 1 Msp. Grated nutmeg
  • 6 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 kg gelling sugar (1: 1)

preparation

  1. Dice the pumpkin meat, put it in a little water and cook it gently for about 10 minutes. Then purée with the magic wand.
  2. Then stir in the spices and lemon juice. Sprinkle the gelling sugar and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. When it boils, boil for about 5 minutes bubbly.
  3. Then fill in clean glasses, screw, turn upside down and let cool. After about 10 minutes turn the glasses over again.

The whole thing is good for 8 months.

Makes about 8 glasses with 250 ml each.

But most of the glasses are quickly gone, because everyone who comes to visit takes one.
