Quite simply: Tomatoes dry - without electricity costs

I like to eat dried tomatoes, but find them rather expensive. Quite simply you can do that yourself. Tomatoes, especially suitable are small aromatic cherry tomatoes, halve, core and sprinkle with little salt.

Distribute on a suitably cut pad (I just took thin cardboard) and put on the heater.

We are still in the heating season, in the summer, of course, does not work.


After 24 hours the tomatoes are dry, larger ones probably need a bit longer.

Then put the sun-dried tomatoes in a glass of sunflower oil (or olive oil of your own taste).

Variations with a stalk of rosemary or basil or, or ...

Looks very pretty, tastes delicious and is well suited as a souvenir.
