Scratching step ladder for cats
An inconspicuous and very practical scratching option for cats offers a self-made scratched stepladder. All you need is a step ladder (in our case Ikea) and a scratching board (available on Amazon or pet supplies).
I tied the scratching board to the crossbars on the back of the ladder with a strong needle and a strong cotton cord. It is important to really tighten the string so that the scratching board does not wobble later. Another possibility would be to fix it or stick it on. In our case I wanted to leave open the possibility to easily remove the scratching board.
So you have a simple and inconspicuous scratching option and an alternative to an expensive scratching post. Our cats are excited!
