Shashlik according to family style

At the table, the ingredients were cut together and the rest was done almost by itself, leaving plenty of time for discussions.

Tastes wonderful for me today after childhood.

You need:


  • 1 very large pot
  • 1 glass of sweet pepper
  • 1 glass of sweet paprika
  • 1/2 glass of black pepper
  • 1 glass of curry (glass refers to the usual spice jars / spreaders, which are available at discount stores, for example)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 packs of fat bacon ((gives a good taste, but is not particularly suitable for eating) or 2 packs of bacon through-grown
  • Approximately 2 kg of colorful peppers
  • 2 kg goulash
  • Some onions
  • 1 spicy ketchup
  • 3-4 bottles of tomato ketchup (according to taste)

Preparation:

  1. Bacon, peppers and onions are cut into pieces and skewered on the goulash skewers with the goulash. I recommend starting with meat and stopping. You can expect about 4 goulash pieces per spit.
  2. After this is done, you start to layer the skewers in the pot. After each layer the situation with the paprika powders, pepper, curry and little salt (rather afterwards with salt in the whole again to taste), until everything is used up.
  3. The pot is then filled with water until the skewers are covered and shipped to the stove. Then bring it to the boil with a lid, then put it down, so that it is only lightly simmering.
  4. Gradually then the spice and tomato ketchup can be added. Start with a small tomato ketchup and season to taste.
  5. I let the whole simmer for about an hour. The vitamins are broken then, but it tastes good!

The broth is pretty soupy. We liked him like that and ate baguette. But any other side dish also tastes good. If there is anything left, I will dispose of the meat and the rest of the skewers and use it as a sauce the next day to noodles. Otherwise, it can also freeze great.

The quantities are very generous here. For your own needs just down accordingly :) I prepare at least always a kilo, because the effort in my opinion otherwise not worth it (even if it is not really a big effort).
