Use crumbled cakes after all

A few days ago, as always, I baked my weekly ration of cakes. One of them was a Guglhupf. In a hurry I forgot to grease the form and "einzubröseln" - a really good, 40-year-old Blechguglhupfform, which is of course not coated.

It happened what was to be expected: the cake was not persuaded to get out of shape on the whole. Nothing helped, he let himself be solved in more or less large pieces of the form. What now? To throw away he was too good for me, because he tasted good. Then I came up with the idea to mix the whole thing with a glass of cherries and some grated lemon rind, fill it into a casserole dish (this time greased), stir a little cherry juice with milk and an egg and pour this mixture over the mass in the casserole dish , Bake in the oven, bake for 20 minutes and serve with custard.

Before there was a clear vegetable soup. We all agreed: that was a really great meal! Another possibility would have been to use the cake with fruit and cream for dessert - I occasionally do that with cake leftovers.
