Zebra cake low in calories

I got this recipe from an acquaintance and modified it to fit my weight loss program.

ingredients

For 12 pieces:


  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g skyr
  • 200 g of ground almonds
  • 100 g wheat flour
  • 100 g cornstarch
  • 1 pck of baking powder
  • 4 tbsp xylitol
  • 1 tbsp baking cocoa
  • 150 g liquid semi-fat margarine

preparation

  1. Beat the eggs with the xylitol until frothy, then stir in the skyr and the semi-fat margarine.
  2. Now mix the ground almonds with the cornflour flour and the baking powder and add to the egg mass.
  3. Divide the dough and mix one half with the baking cocoa.
  4. Grease a springform pan and sprinkle with semolina.
  5. Fill in the dough layer by layer.
  6. Place the dish in the preheated oven (175 °) on the middle rack and bake for 45 - 50 minutes.
  7. After 10 minutes baking time, cut the cake in the middle.
  8. Allow the cake to cool completely on a wire rack.
  9. Pounce the cake and remove the mold.

Note: I have unfortunately forgotten point 7. So the cake has not risen as I would have wished. Nevertheless, I am satisfied.

Alternative options:

  1. The Halbfettmargarine can be replaced by any other fat.
  2. The skyr can be replaced by any other natural yoghurt.
  3. The xylitol can also be replaced by normal sugar (quantity must be adjusted).
