Better milk foam with protein powder

I like to drink a Latte Macchiato and pay attention as an athlete on an increased protein intake, which is why I often have protein powder at home.

Recently, after a morning run, I also wanted to make a delicious coffee with lots of milk foam and, while frothing, I added a little bit of the protein powder to the milk.

I noticed that a lot more foam comes out of it. Is also totally logical, because milk foam is created by the fact that the proteins form a special structure when creating milk froth, which encloses the air. The higher the protein content in your milk, the more milk foam, too!

Oh, and what you should also note: Do not add sugar when frothing, it breaks everything and almost no milk foam can form. Those who like their coffee with sugar prefer to add it afterwards or use sweetener. And forget about these hand frothers. In the blender you get great milk foam!
