Awake the tomato sauce in stock
Time
Total preparation time: 1 hr.
Now it's time again: the tomatoes are ripe, all at once. At least with me. And because I do not have enough to do, I'll do it with tomatoes too.
preparation
- Cut ripe tomatoes crosswise, place in hot water and skin.
- Cut out the stalk, quarter the tomatoes or cut into pieces.
- Stew in a little olive oil, season with salt, pepper, oregano, basil, sage, thyme and rosemary.
- One laurel leaf per kilo of tomatoes and two to three teaspoons of sugar (alternatively sweetener).
- Simmer for about thirty minutes, possibly mash with the potato masher. Fill hot in twist-off glasses and close immediately.
tip
Standing e.g. Spaghetti Bolognese or a lasagna on the menu, I fry minced meat and onion with garlic and open one or two glasses of this tomato sauce. Tilt over the minced meat and simmer for a few minutes.
Tastes like fresh and always reminds a little of the summer - and is without chemistry and guaranteed better, cheaper and healthier than the Fix-bags or the popular "Tomato al Gusto".
