Beware of the friend option of PayPal
I have not found a similar tip, so my warning. I always buy and sell something on eBay classifieds and never had any problems. Either was picked up or paid with PayPal. Also the contact was always very nice.
Some time ago, I ordered an article for 175 euros and the seller wrote me in a nutshell, I should use the friend option on PayPal. I did that and then the contact was extinct! My requests were not answered. The part was still offered.
I waited 12 days and then the package was on the doorstep. Everything was in order. That was 12 long days and nights. My purchase was not secured because of little charge. They can be added for the price. I always thought, I'm careful. Now it's me.
