Dishwasher - longer shelf life

We got a new dishwasher. The installer advised us instead of the x in a tabs, to take quite normal powder with salt and rinse aid and run at least every 2 days on the hottest program without saving function.

Many tabs would not dissolve completely and then do not release all the active ingredients and form a solid sticky mass, which then settles with the fat in the part of the dishwasher that you do not see. And you can not get away with the machine cleaner.

The austerity programs that wash at 45 and 50 degrees, even with very little water. The fat that was on the dishes then settles down in the machine when it cools down. Along with the remnants of the tabs, it breaks the machine. You save on the wrong end.

My husband works as an energy saver advisor, but our dishwasher is now running again with powder and the additives and not in the savings or short program. But I also put everything in place. Pots, pans, dog bowls ...

The old woman had no austerity programs, the new consumes even in the normal program less than the old machine.

Only when we have a visit and only glasses and the good coffee dishes come in, I use a program which is not so hot. But I do not need a short program.

The combination of tabs, less hot and less water but a firm slush, I did not realize that at first. I had not thought about it that way. It is more soluble on many tabs. So it seems to be correct.

And powder dissolves immediately and then cleans immediately. And the fact that you should collect everything that gets there, let it run hot, also reminds me. That's not so much more power and water. And so the dishwasher lives for a long time and the tabs are also more expensive than if you get it individually.

It also cleans with powder, which should not be washed so hot in the dishwasher. I also simply rinse everything with the cold program "prewash" once we have something with sauce or ketchup instead of by hand, which also saves water. Because with the 8 liters that my needs, I can not go if I rinse it under running water. Thick remains come off with the fork and a kitchen towel in the bin.

It is also important that the sieves below, at least once a week brings out and clean and from time to time also the spray arms. Because there is always something in there. If this is clean, it will also flush and live longer.
