Emergency V-belt self-made
The tip is ancient, but I have not found it here yet!
I can not rule out engine damage, I can only say that it has already worked on my cadet B.
Is also something for older cars where e.g. the fan from the radiator is still driven by a V-belt.
If you should break your V-belt and you have no substitute but a nice co-driver, then she asks politely for one of her stockings.
Now you have to tie this tightly around the guide pulleys of the V-belt and lo and behold, the fan rotates again.
So I can only say that worked well for me on the last holiday trip!
