Remove smoke smell in the car with vinegar

Smoke smell in the car can be extremely cheaply and reliably eliminated as follows:

Fill small bowls with vinegar and distribute them in the car (parcel shelf, dashboard, footwell) and let the vinegar do its "work" overnight with the windows closed. A cheap fruit vinegar is sufficient for this.

The vinegar neutralises the smell of tobacco (including those in the upholstery) very reliably. The stench of the vinegar in the car can be neutralized again by lighting a few matches and driving a short distance with open windows.

This trick is also used by many professional car cosmetics companies.
