mackerel salad

Mackerel salad made fast, long-lasting and simply delicious with fresh bread.

Today I would like to introduce my home-made mackerel salad. My husband and I like it very much and is a great change for dinner, instead of sausage and cheese. I actually do it as you say so freely, but I'll try it here:

ingredients

  • 2 -3 smoked mackerel depending on size
  • 2 medium apples
  • 2 onions
  • several gherkins
  • some allspice grains
  • 2-3 lober leaves
  • rapeseed oil

preparation

  1. Mackerel apart, carefully, so that you get out well all bones. (I do that with disposable slippers, because of the smell). It should be as small pieces as possible, but works well because the fish is so soft.
  2. Then peel the apples, cut into cubes and dice the gherkins, all to the shredded fish.
  3. Dice onion roughly, also add to it.
  4. Now add allspice, bay leaf (break once) with in the container.
  5. Finally, oil to feel under the mass lift, I like to add some gherkins with spice, so the salad still a delicious whistle.
  6. Everything has to give a solid mass, so that you can do it on the bread, even though it's just my husband's bread.
  7. Let the salad cool for a few hours.

PS. It just makes the fish a bit more work, because of the bones, but it's worth it. If you like fish, you will like the salad.
