Make dumplings yourself

Here comes a simple and delicious bread dumpling recipe.
1 white bread results one Bread dumplings => let rolls dry well! I usually cut them into small cubes two days before and put them on a baking tray to dry.
Ingredients for 6 rolls / bread dumplings
- 6 white bread rolls
- 2 onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 bunch of parsley
- 1/4 l lukewarm milk
- 3 eggs
- a little butter for searing
- salt
- pepper
- nutmeg
preparation
- Chop onions, garlic and parsley
- Heat the butter in a pan and sauté the onions
- A little later add the garlic to sauté
- Pour the bread pieces in a larger bowl with the lukewarm milk
- Add the onion-garlic mixture
- Add parsley and eggs
- Now season with salt, pepper and nutmeg
- Knead everything well with your hands and season to taste
- Now the dumplings are formed (squeeze tightly!)
- Bring a larger pot of water to a boil
- Once it boils add salt and add the dumplings still in the boiling salt water
- Then turn the stove down (water should stop cooking) and the dumplings for 20 minutes to let go
