A single pear was still in the fruit basket and wine was also found in the kitchen and so I have considered making a delicious dessert from these and a few other existing ingredients.

I would like to point out that this preparation is certainly only for adults, but for children, the recipe can easily be changed by simply using a good grape juice instead of the wine. Of course, the amount of sugar stated in the recipe should be reduced to taste, because the grape juice is already sweeter than the red wine used for the purpose.

My recipe is enough for 2 people. If several eaters sit at the table, the ingredients of the number of people can be like z. B. be doubled.

ingredients

  • 1 solid, fresh pear
  • 250 ml of red wine
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 1/2 sheets of gelatine red or white
  • 100 ml of cream
  • some cinnamon

preparation

  1. First peel the pear, core and cut into coarse, but bite-sized pieces. Then boil the red wine with the sugar and the lemon juice once, reduce the temperature by half and poach the pear pieces for about 10 minutes in the hot wine mixture.
  2. In the meantime, soak the gelatine in a little cold water. Remove the poached pear pieces from the wine stock and pour into pretty glasses or bowls. The gelatine is now well expressed and completely dissolved in the still warm wine.
  3. Now let the wine cool down a bit and then you fill this over the pear pieces in the glasses available. The glasses are then chilled in the refrigerator for some time - in the case of earlier preparation, also overnight - until the wine has gelled and solidified.
  4. Finally, the cream is beaten and sprayed decorative with a piping bag on the wine jelly. For decoration and also for flavor rounding you sprinkle on each icing still a good pinch of cinnamon.

Let it taste good!
