Train gray cells - with memories

A way to train the gray cells, to keep the brain fit and to reminisce.

Inspired by LilaScorpion and her great idea "Moments of happiness in the glass" I came up with the idea to do something for my parents.
The two like to have breakfast extensively and long. For the cozy last cup of coffee I am in the process of providing conversation.

I made a small grid in Excel with business card sized boxes. I type in everything I can think of, like Memories of my very happy childhood.


I want to roll up these cards as lots and collect them in a container. My parents can then pull one or more notes at the breakfast table and remember the shared experiences. They should scour their own memories and tell about it.

Because I have noticed that the parents remember very different things than the child. For the training of the gray cells there will also be leaflets asking for events that they should remember ("What was my best friend's name?") Or questions about current incidents ("What's the name of the new Pope?) something like "old bread left? - Go feeding ducks! "Of course I can not say with any certainty if my parents will enjoy it - but it's worth a try, right?
