Baked Apple Jam

Matching the winter time, I tried something new, first I was a little skeptical, because apple jam is not really my thing, but the spices it was very very tasty on the Butterbrötchen.

ingredients

  • 1 kg of apples (sourish)
  • 50 g raisins
  • 50 g of sliced ​​almonds
  • 100 ml apple juice
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 500 g jam sugar 2: 1
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • the marrow of a vanilla pod

preparation

  1. Cut the peeled apples into small cubes and cook them together with the raisins, the apple juice and the scraped vanilla pod.
  2. Roast the almonds in a pan and add to the apples together with the cinnamon and the lemon juice and stir well. (I pressed the almonds a bit with a mortar).
  3. Then mix in the gelling sugar and boil for about 5 minutes bubbly.
  4. Put in hot rinsed glasses.

By the way, even on vanilla ice cream, the jam tastes very good.
