From this apple-wine cake is so far hardly left a celebration. It is delicious and easy to bake.
Ingredients and preparation
For the shortcrust pastry you knead
- 125 g of butter
- 125 g of sugar
- 250 g of flour (I take wholegrain wheat flour, possibly needs a few drops of milk)
- 1 egg
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 coated tsp baking powder and
- some finely grated lemon peel with each other
Cover the dough and let it rest in the refrigerator for half an hour. Meanwhile, peel and roll a little over two kilos of apples. Drizzle with lemon juice and cover. Cook a cream
- 375 ml white wine
- 375 ml apple juice
- 4 tablespoons sugar and
- 2 sachets of custard powder
Roll out the shortcrust pastry in a springform pan and press up an edge on the springform edge. Spread the apples on the shortcrust pastry-covered bottom of the springform pan and pour the still hot wine pudding over them.
Bake in preheated oven at 175 degrees top / bottom heat for 90 minutes. Allow the cake to cool completely (preferably over night).
Then beat 2 cups of cream without adding sugar and spread on the cake. Sprinkle with cocoa and / or cinnamon.
