Pickled dried tomatoes are delicious, but unfortunately also quite expensive and not infrequently in the lousy olive oil, which had to offer the Ölmafia. Better to dry tomatoes in the oven yourself:

  • Cut tomatoes in the middle
  • Cover baking tray with baking paper and add 3mm thick salt
  • Tomatoes on it, oven at 90 degrees and a kitchen towel stuck between the oven door, so that the moisture can and the tomatoes are not too hot. The salt also binds the vaporizing liquid.

After 5-6 hours the things are bone-dry.

Storage:

Either with good olive oil and as desired insert a few fresh herbs or place in a Tupperdose and a bit uncooked rice with pure (which binds the humidity itself). Lasts forever and 3 days.
