Once we were invited to a coffee with a friend, he surprised us with a homemade cake, which tasted very wonderful - it was a very delicious, easy Gugelhupf. We did not believe it, that he had actually baked it himself, but then he told us the ingredients for this very simple and fast baking recipe, without any flour, so gluten-free!

From this dough man can (this is not a clerical error, because even my dear man, who is otherwise a total? Back and Kochmuffel ?, he has sometimes baked with little help from me ;-)), of course, also bake a box cake ,

For this man or woman needs only five ingredients

  • 200 g of sugar
  • 4 big or 5 small eggs
  • 200 ml of sunflower or rapeseed oil
  • 4 p. Vanilla pudding powder (gluten-free) and
  • ½ pck of baking soda

The preparation is easy and goes very fast!

  1. First, the oven is preheated to 160 degrees air circulation.
  2. Then the eggs and sugar are beaten until well frothy with the hand mixer, then the oil is stirred in and at the end you add the custard powder mixed with the baking powder in portions and stir well every time. That was it.
  3. Now pour the liquid dough into the well-greased baking tin, spread with crumbs or flour, and then pour it onto the bottom rail of the preheated oven.
  4. After a baking time of 60 minutes the Gugelhupf (or box cake) is finished (chopsticks sample!).
  5. So that the surface of the cake does not become too dark, it may need to be covered with baking paper or foil towards the end of the baking time.
  6. After baking, let the cake cool for about 10 to 15 minutes in the oven, then it is released from the mold and cooled on a wire rack.
  7. Then it can then be coated with chocolate couverture or icing or just dusted with powdered sugar.
