Hazelnut Ring

Ingredients dough

  • 300 g of flour
  • 2 deleted TL backin
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 vanillin
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Table spoons of milk

Process everything to a thick dough, dough hooks are appropriate.

Cut 125 g of shortening into pieces and mix in.

Ingredients filling

  • 200 g of ground hazelnuts
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 4 drops of bitter almond oil
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 egg white
  • 3-4 tablespoons water

preparation

  1. Knead dough, then roll out, about 1/2 cm thick (tip: roll out on the baking paper immediately then it is easier to bring on the plate!).
  2. Put the ingredients for the filling in a bowl all the way to the egg whites and mix everything together. Stir the egg whites and stir evenly into the mixture.
  3. Put this mixture on top of the dough, leave a little margin, brush with some egg or water to make it sticky.
  4. Roll up evenly and join the ends. Brush the wreath with egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven 175-200 degrees for 45 minutes.
  5. So that it does not go out of shape, you can attach a back ring around it, but it must be a big one, or you can just bake it like me on the baking sheet without shape.
