Lola - always successful pendant to Hermann Kuchen

So ... now I open my back secret: I CAN NOT BAKE! Seriously, with me cakes in 80% of the cases, nothing. Unless I bake with "Lola". Then the cakes are highly praised and I like to eat them myself. Ok, the idea is nothing else than the somewhat dusty "Hermann", it is almost the female counterpart ;-). The basis is a yeast fungus that can be used as a starter dough yourself (easy!). You take:

  • 1 tbsp flour,
  • 1 P. dry yeast,
  • 1 tbsp sugar and
  • 1 tbsp milk.

Put in a screw-cap and leave to stand (not in the fridge). Stir on the 2nd day. On the 3rd day "feed" with:

  • 1 cup of sugar,
  • 1 cup of flour,
  • 1 cup of milk.

Stir well, possibly take large glass, Vorteig goes up !! (From this point you could already bake cake with the mass! -> who can not stand it gg.)

4th day stir. 5th day "feed", s.o. Now you can take away up to 3 cups, give away to interested people, for example, with this guide here. Most of those who get involved are skeptical at first and once they have tried a cake, excited-excited. ggg. The (stir) cake is done as follows:

  • 1/2 cup of oil,
  • 1/2 cup sugar,
  • 1 p. Vanilla sugar,
  • 1-2 cups of flour,
  • half P. baking powder,
  • 1 / 2-1 teaspoon cinnamon,
  • 3 eggs.

In box form at 180 degrees, 50 minutes -> Garprobe. DO NOT OPEN!!

This is the basic recipe, that is solo quite delicious. But it can also be experimented. Delicious is the cake PLUS: (each "or") apple and / or banana pieces with rolled in flour cherries, (do not sink so) nuts and rum with 2 tablespoons cocoa or chocolate pieces with 3 grated carrots and 4 crumbed crackers and nuts.

You can enjoy the Lola also "recently", just try it out, e.g. as a vegetable cake. The Lola is, fed and maintained, lasting for many weeks and should they ever go out (uiii, I have probably given away too much ...?!) Also very easily re-attachable. By the way, LOLA hardly bothers anything ... if you forget to stir or feed them, then do it the next day. I wish you as much fun as a super baker.
