Table fire: make bioethanol soot-free with water
Bioethanol soot and odor free? Unfortunately not.
Hello wanted to set a tip, yes, have already read many. Well, I bought a table fire (glass column) a long time ago, so I do not want to gag and burn almost odorless - far from it.
Have different ethanol tried 96-100% from different suppliers. Times more less Rußbildung- have now mixed my bioethanol with about 10-20% water (first tried out) and lo and behold, almost no soot on the glass column. Although you do not save anything, because water does not really burn, but I do not have to annoy me that the column is getting so black. The flame is a bit smaller and does not burn so yellow but cleaner.
Ventilate indoors, however, as described everywhere when using bioethanol.
